I had to illustrate a book cover of any scifi/fantasy book, so I went with DUNE seeing how it is arguably one of the most influential scfi books out there.
On the left is a Bene Gesserit sister. I played with the idea that these woman wear strange breathing apparatus to better filter in the spice that is so vital to their sisterhood and to the right is a sand worm.

1In 1992, plans were in the works to create a life-sized Starship Enterprise in downtown Las Vegas. The model ship would have been roughly as long as the Eiffel Tower is tall, and would have contained all the key rooms and areas from the original Star Trek series.
